Illinois Schools Get State Checks
(Springfield, IL) — Schools across Illinois are starting to get some of what they’re owed. Illinois Comptroller Susana Mendoza yesterday cut the first state aid checks to local school districts. Schools were supposed to get the money about a month ago. Mendoza says another round of checks will go out today. In all, over 800 million-dollars will be sent to schools across the state by Monday.
