(Chicago, IL) — Governor Rauner seems to be hedging his bets when it comes to luring the new Amazon headquarters and its potential 50-thousand jobs to Chicago. Rauner says he’s working with Mayor Emanuel on a joint bid to bring the new Amazon headquarters to the Chicago area. But Rauner also says his office will help with St. Louis’ bid for the good it could possibly do Illinois. He says that the large population center in the Metro East area could benefit if the Amazon headquarters lands in St. Louis. A team from Rauner’s and Emanuel’s offices travels to Seattle tomorrow.
