A rollover vehicle crash occurred the afternoon of Tuesday, October 24th near I-57, southbound, at milepost 235 in Champaign County. Preliminary details indicate Eldon Hershburger, 58, of Arthur, IL (unit 1) was s/b when his Ford pulling a 20 ft. box trailer went off the roadway to the right. The vehicle drove through the grass ditch/embankment, across the lane of the ramp from I-72 westbound and overturned. The truck came to a rest on its roof. The driver was safely buckled, and turned upside down, however a motorist who stopped to help was able to break the rear window and help the driver exit the vehicle safely. Hershburger was uninjured and cited for Improper lane usage.
