Indiana Lawmakers Question DCS Numbers
(Indianapolis, IN) — Indiana lawmakers want to know why there are so many kids in state care, especially compared to some of our neighbors. House Speaker Brian Bosma last week was one of many lawmakers who said there is something wrong with how Indiana manages its foster care system. “The Indy Star” reported yesterday that Indiana has over 29 thousand children in foster care, more than every other neighboring state, including Illinois and Ohio which have more people than Indiana.
