Ives, Rauner Clash At Joint Appearance
(Chicago, IL) — The two Republicans running for Illinois governor had a lot of answers about jobs, taxes, Mike Madigan and who’s to blame for the exodus of people from the state. But neither Jeanne Ives nor Bruce Rauner could say how they’d be more successful in the next four years than Rauner was over the last three. The two candidates sat down with the editors at the “Chicago Tribune” yesterday in their only joint appearance. Ives went on the attack while Rauner seemed to rely on his campaign talking points.
