A fixture in the Mattoon community for over a half a century is closing its doors. Officials have confirmed that Douglas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will shut down as part of a business decision. The ownership corporation has given notice to the center’s employees and residents, as well as family members of the residents, and provided them with a list of other senior living facilities in the area.
