Dr. Ronny Jackson Out As V.A. Nominee
(Washington, DC) — White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson is withdrawing his name from consideration to head up the Department of Veterans Affairs. Jackson, a Navy admiral, had reportedly grown frustrated with the nomination process, which has been fraught with allegations of workplace misconduct. Jackson has denied the allegations, which include wrecking a government vehicle while intoxicated and improperly distributing medication. Jackson was scheduled to have a confirmation hearing this week, but it was postponed indefinitely after the allegations came to light.
