Standing Stone Community Center is a multi-faceted Christ centered outreach with clothing, food and furniture located at 375 N 14th in Charleston.
We serve about 8,000 people a year with our five items of free clothing per person present program; however anyone can shop at Standing Stone.
Our Carpenters Table Food Pantry serves over 300 households each month. Pantry hours are the same as Standing Stone Wednesday through Friday 9:00 through 4:00 and Saturday 9:00 to 3:00. We also sell furniture, household items, linens and books.
Accept donations at our Donation Center located at 201 N. 6th Street in Charleston each Wednesday and Saturday, except for the first full week of each month. We reserve those two days for volunteer groups to help us catch up and sort through donations. A list of accepted items is on our website www.StandingStoneCC.com.
Standing Stone Community Center announces special and events on our Facebook pages. We are a United Way partnering agency, and a member of the Eastern Illinois Foodbank, as we are a 501(c)3 non-profit and our six year anniversary will be in June.
Dawn Thomson founder and executive director was inspired by the movie “The Touch” based off of a true story. Standing Stone is not associated with any specific church or denomination, however we partner with many churches and organizations for volunteers.
