The Illinois Department of Transportation awarded more than $35 million in grants for transportation enhancement yesterday. Among the local communities receiving grants: Neoga – $26,400; Shelbyville – $42,480, for bike and pedestrian paths; and Marshall will receive more than $755,000 for historic preservation and rehabilitation.
