Two people were injured in accident on I-57 in Douglas County yesterday. Illinois State Police say a vehicle driven by Johnathan Thompson, of Congerville was passing a motorcycle driven by Ryan Romero, of Bonfield when a strong crosswind caused Romero to lose control of the motorcycle. He sideswiped Thompson’s vehicle and then laid the bike on its side, slid along the roadway and came to a rest in the median. Romero’s passenger, Ashley Romero was airlifted from the scene, while Ryan was transported by ambulance.
