An Effingham teen was arrested this week on burglary charges. According to the Effingham Police Department, 18-year-old Daniel Lankford stole items from a vehicle which was parked in the 200 block of Wernsing. Later in the day, the police department received a call about someone attempting to use the victim’s credit cards at Walmart. Lankford was taken into custody with numerous items belonging to the victim on his person.
