Two semi drivers were airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital after an accident on I-70 near Effingham. According to the Illinois State Police, 38-year-old Moges Befekadu, of Tampa, Flora was traveling below the minimum speed limit in the right lane of the interstate at milepost 100. A tractor-trailer driven by 41-year-old Jeremy Wilson, of Yale, Illinois struck Befekadu’s rig in the rear of the box trailer. Befekadu was entrapped and had to be extricated from the vehicle.
