A Mattoon man was sentenced to 3 ½ years in prison for indecent solicitation of a child. Authorities say 44-year-old Thomas Patton admitted contacting a 14-year-old boy online to solicit sex. Patton used social media to arrange a meeting at Lawson Park. He was arrested when he arrived.
