Illinois police officers may soon be banned from giving you a ticket for an expired license plate registration sticker, at least until there’s a new state budget.  A House panel okayed a plan to suspend any fines or fees for expired plates.  Illinois’ Secretary of State stopped sending drivers reminders about their plates in January and is seeing a nearly million-dollar increase in fines from expired plates.
