Ronald Dean “R.D.” Carlen III, 34, of Greenup, Illinois passed away at 11:26 am on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Toledo Cemetery at a later date.
R.D. was born on October 9, 1981 in Effingham, Illinois; the son of Ronald Dean Carlen Jr. and Trudy Hutson Green. He married Camron “Cammy” Edwards on October 21, 2006. She is surviving along with their children, Kail Joseph and Elizabeth Hope. Also surviving are his parents Ronnie Dean and Linda Carlen of Greenup and Dan and Trudy Green of Greenup, siblings Bryce (Samantha) Carlen of Greenup, Jarod (Danielle) Carlen of Toledo, Chris (Tausha) Green of Greenup, Bryan (Rachel) Green of Toledo, Danielle (Jerry) McClain of Greenup, Crystal (Neal) Lamb of Greenup; grandmother Ruby Hutson of Greenup, grandparents Ronnie and Elaine Carlen of Greenup, brother-in-law Timothy Colt Shaw of Greenup; sister-in-law Kayla (Ryan) Doedtman of Effingham; mother and father-in-law Tim and Trish Shaw of Greenup; father-in-law Jeff Edwards of Greenup; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents Doyle and Marge Green and Grandfather Cloyce Hutson.
R.D. worked as an operator at Three Z Printing Co. in Teutopolis. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the Plum Grove Church.
