(Norway) — Humanity will continue to grow in more ways than one. Scientists in Norway project that the worldwide population will hit nine-billion by the year 2050. It’s currently a little more than seven billion. Humans are expected to contine a trend of getting larger and heavier. That means they’ll need to eat more. The WWF says the world’s biggest environmental problem is the destruction of plant and wildlife habitats because of human demand, which is only projected to worsen.
