(Anchorage, AK) — Alaskan officials say progress is being made in the recovery effort following the massive 7.0 earthquake that rattled the region yesterday. In a news conference today, Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz commended Alaskans on their response to the monster quake. Anchorage city officials said the sewer system is functioning. The water system is also up and running and the water quality is good. But, the boil water notice remains in place as a precaution in the Anchorage area.
