Gladys Beatrice Roby, 92, of Mattoon formerly of Gays passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.
Gladys was born October 20, 1923, the daughter of Harry and Nancy “Jennie” Langston Roby. She was a faithful member of Ash Grove Christian Church where she served the congregation by playing the piano. She enjoyed flower gardening and provided devoted care to both of her parents. One of her special pleasures was visiting with her many good friends.
Gladys is preceded in death by her parents and infant brother Ward and survived by several cousins and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 1-2 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor, IL. Burial will follow at the Branch Side Cemetery in Gays.
