Illinois Once Again Loses People

(Springfield, IL) — Illinois is still shrinking. The latest Census numbers show the state lost just over 45 thousand people last year. Illinois is the only Midwestern state to lose people, and only New York lost more people. To put that 45 thousand into perspective, DeKalb has 43 thousand people, Urbana has just under 42 thousand, and Rock Island doesn’t even have 40 thousand.
