Hatch, Schumer Announce Proposed Sports Betting Oversight

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Two lawmakers are co-sponsoring new legislation that would create a federal agency for regulating sportsbetting across the country. Republican Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah and Democrat Chuck Schumer of New York announced the proposed law Wednesday. Hatch said the bill would be the first step toward ensuring that sports betting is done right in the states where it’s legal.
