I-DOT Cancels Roadwork For The Holidays
(Springfield, IL) — It should be a bit easier to get where you’re going this holiday season. The Illinois Department of Transportation last week sent all non-emergency road crews home for the holidays. I-DOT says it’s suspending dozens of projects across the state to make holiday traffic a bit less hectic. Construction is on hold until Wednesday, and will then be put back on hold over the New Year’s weekend.
