Indiana Lawmakers Eye Ending Military Retirement Benefit Taxes

(Indianapolis, IN) — Lawmakers in Indianapolis want to stop taxing veterans after they retire. State Rep. Karlee Macer says Indiana is one of just 12 states that taxes military retirements, she’s working on a plan to end that. Governor Holcomb’s office says they support the idea as a way to keep veterans in Indiana, and encourage more young vets to move to the state.
