(Washington, DC) — The current partial government shutdown is already he fourth longest in history. It will be entering its third week at midnight Eastern time and an end is not in sight. Bill Clinton and Congressional Republicans shut down the government for 21 days in 1995 and 1996. Jimmy Carter faced a 17-day shutdown in 1978 and Barack Obama dealt with a 16-day shutdown in 2013.
