Governor Pritzker Signs Law Requiring State Licensing Of Gun Dealers
(Chicago, IL) — New Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker is hitting the ground running since his inauguration early this week. He signed legislation today that will give the state more oversight over gun dealers. The new law requires gun stores to get state licenses. The Illinois State Rifle Association is threatening to challenge the legislation in court. Pritzker’s signing event took place at Young Elementary School on Chicago’s West Side.
