NY Faces Worst Measles Outbreak In decades
(New York, NY) — New York is facing its worst measles outbreak in decades. State health officials have confirmed 182 cases, mostly among unvaccinated ultra-Orthodox Jews in Brooklyn and Rockland County. The outbreak has been linked to travel to Israel which is currently battling a measles epidemic. Health officials have printed more than 40-thousand fliers in English, Yiddish and Spanish urging people to bring their children to free vaccination clinics.
