(Washington, DC) — The Food and Drug Administration is warning tobacco companies to stop pushing e-cigarette and vaping products on young people or it may ban them. FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb said Friday that if the use of those products continues to rise dramatically among youth it could be “game over.” He said the data of youth vaping has doubled over the past year, including with some as young as middle school students. He said if it continues to rise at that rate the entire category will face an existential threat.
