Kamala Harris Ties Bernie Sanders Fundraising Record
(Washington D.C.) — Kamala Harris may have a bigger base than expected. The Democratic Senator from California raised a million and a half dollars in the 24 hours after she announced she’s running for president, tying the amount Senator Bernie Sanders raised in 2015 when he announced his bid for the White House. Officials say Harris had about 38-thousand people donate an average of around 40-bucks apiece. Meanwhile, Sanders had 35-thousand people donate nearly 45 dollars on average.
