Truck Driver Sober In Deadly December I-74 Bus Crash

(Peoria, IL) — Investigators say the truck driver who smashed into a school bus last month in central Illinois was sober at the time. Peoria County’s coroner yesterday said Ryan Hute didn’t have any drugs or alcohol in his system when he crashed into the bus carrying the Normal West High School girls’ basketball team. Hute and a bus monitor died in the crash.
