A Terre Haute woman was injured in an accident last night in Effingham County. Illinois State Police say 31-year-old Patricia Brown struck tractor-trailers driven by 46-year-old Reynaldo Fruits, of Moore, Oklahoma, and 29-year-old Travis Mitchell, of Greenville, South Carolina for unknown reasons, and became disabled in the right lane of I-70 at milepost 89. Brown was cited for following too closely, and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash. She was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital and then air-lifted to Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign.
