U.S. Postal Service Suspends Delivery In Nearly A Dozen States
(Des Moines, IA) — The United States Postal Services says the polar vortex is putting mail delivery on hold in ten states. Some retail post offices will be open, but couriers won’t be delivering any mail in the affected states. Health experts are warning that the sub-zero temperatures and brutal wind chills millions are getting hit with today can cause frostbite in as little as five to ten minutes. That means no mail in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, the Dakotas and Pennsylvania.
