Chicago Area Remains In Deep Freeze
(Undated) — The Chicago area is still in a deep freeze. A wind chill warning remains in effect until noon today. The National Weather Service says wind chills could drop to 50-below today. The cold air can cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as five to ten minutes. The Windy City already set a record low for January 30th yesterday, with temps dropping to minus-23 at O’Hare. The lowest temperature ever recorded in the city was 27-below zero on January 20th, 1985.
