A Sullivan, Illinois man was killed in a house explosion last night. According to the Moultrie County Coroner’s office, 20-year-old Jared L. Schrock died at the blast on County Road 1700 North, just west of Jonathan Creek Road. When the Sullivan Fire Department arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames. One female was rescued from the home. Following that, they recovered Schrock’s body. The state fire marshal’s office was called in to determine the cause of the explosion.
