(Vancouver, WA) — The measles outbreak in Washington state is growing with the number of confirmed cases now at 43. Officials are still awaiting blood test results on over a dozen other possible cases. They’re also confirming that one of the known cases involves a person who had one dose of the MMR vaccine, but not the second. The majority of the cases involve children under the age of ten. According to the CDC, just one dose of the MMR vaccine is 93 percent effective. Two doses ups the effectiveness to 97 percent.
