Northern, Western Illinois Starts Day Under Ice Warning

(Davenport, IA) — It’s going to be a slick start to the day for a lot of folks across northern and western Illinois. The National Weather Service is leaving an ice storm warning in place for people living from Rockford to the Quad Cities to almost down to Peoria. Forecasters say a band of ice and freezing rain fell overnight. Local roads are slick, and road crews are asking people for patience.
