Illinois Senators Put 15-Dollar Minimum Wage On Fast Track
(Springfield, IL) — Some Illinois lawmakers hope to pass a new minimum wage law by the end of the month. The Illinois Senate yesterday put the latest plan to hike the minimum wage to 15-dollars-an-hour on the fast track. State Senator Kimberly Lightford, who is sponsoring the plan, said she hopes to get the plan to Governor Pritzker before he delivers his budget speech on February 20th. The full Senate could vote on the plan today.
