U.S. Supreme Court Passes On Schock Case Review
(Washington, DC) — The United States Supreme Court is passing on former Congressman Aaron Schock’s corruption indictment. The high court yesterday declined to hear Schock’s pre-trial appeal. The former west-central Illinois congressman says he shouldn’t face charges for lying on Congressional and campaign expense accounts, in part, because Congress makes its own rules. The court said it wasn’t going to rule on that defense, though the justices said Schock is free to try that argument at trial.
