Rockford-Based Documentary Falls Short At Oscars

(Los Angeles, CA) — It’s an honor to be nominated, isn’t that what they say? The documentary Minding the Gap, which was shot in Rockford, did not win last night’s Academy Award for Best Documentary. Minding the Gap followed three young skateboarders as they grew up into adulthood. Instead the movie, Free Solo, about mountain climbers, won.
