WIU Faculty Preparing For Layoffs
(Macomb, IL) — More pink slips could be coming to Western Illinois University. The school’s faculty and staff members say they fear WIU trustees will order more layoffs at their meeting later this week. WIU saw 86 jobs eliminated last year. The school is in an enrollment free fall, there are about half as many students at Western as there were nearly a decade ago.
