Town Of Normal Eyes Gas Tax Hike, Gambling Machine Fee As Well
(Normal, IL) — Bloomington and Normal are twin cities, and may soon be twins when it comes to new taxes and fees. Leaders in Normal last night said they’re considering a plan to double their local gas tax and charge a 500 dollar per-machine fee for video gambling. Bloomington is considering the exact same plan. Normal Mayor Chris Koos says they like to try and keep an ‘even playing field’ between the two cities.
