According to the Illinois State Police, there was a traffic crash that resulted in injuries along Route 16 in Edgar County late Tuesday morning. Preliminary details state that at 11:36 A.M. T, Michael S. Gallion, Male, 35 of Kansas Illinois was traveling westbound on Route 16 east of Anglin Road when he crossed the center line and struck Lela M. Lowe, Female, 30 of Chrisman Ilinois, striking the front driver side of Lowe’s vehicle. Lowe also had a a female juvenile passenger. Both Lowe and Gallion were transported to the Terre Haute Regional Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, the juvenile was not injured, but was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital for precautionary measures. Seat-belts were worn by everyone, and Gallion was cited for DUI Drugs and Improper Lane Usage.
