Deputy Dead, Suspect Arrested After Shooting, Multi-County Chase
(Lincoln, IL) — A northern Illinois deputy is dead and a suspect is sitting in a central Illinois jail cell after a day long chase and standoff. It all started yesterday morning when authorities tried to arrest 39-year-old Floyd Brown on a series of warrants from across the state. Police say Brown shot and killed McHenry County Deputy Jacob Keltner. He then sped away, and was finally cornered about three hours away in Lincoln. Officers arrested Brown yesterday evening, after an hours long standoff. He’s now in jail, waiting to face murder charges.
