5th Anniversary Of Malaysian Airliner Disappearance
(Kuala Lumpur) — Today marks five years since a Malaysia Airlines jet disappeared on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. More than 230 passengers and crew were on Flight 370 when it vanished from radar less than an hour after taking off on March 8th, 2014. More than two-dozen countries joined a search-and-rescue mission but found nothing. Only a few pieces of wreckage from the Boeing 777 have washed up on an island in the Indian Ocean. It’s never been explained why the plane apparently deviated from its route to Beijing.
