UPDATED: White House: Too Early For U.S. To Ground Boeing 737 MAX 8s
(Washington, DC) — White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders says it is too early in the process for the U.S. to ground the fleet of Boeing 737 MAX 8s.
Sanders told Fox News that the FAA and Transportation Department are part of an extensive review that is happening after the deadly crash of an Ethiopian airliner on Sunday. Several other countries are grounding the Boeing 737 Max jetliners. Earlier today, President Trump tweeted that “airplanes are becoming far too complex to fly.” He said pilots are no longer needed, but rather “computer scientists from MIT.”

UPDATED: United Kingdom Grounds Boeing-737 Max 8 Jets After Ethiopia Crash
(London) — The United Kingdom is grounding all Boeing-737 Max jetliners following the Ethiopian crash over the weekend. The Civil Aviation Authority says they will stop any of the commercial air flights into, out of or over UK air space. China, Australia and Indonesia are now among the list of several countries grounding the plane after two deadly crashes in less than six months. The planes have not been grounded in the U.S. The FAA released a statement yesterday that they have confidence in the plane and no data to suggest otherwise. Investigators are looking for similarities between the Ethiopian Airlines crash and the Lion Air flight last year.
