Damaging Winds, Tornadoes Threaten South, Midwest As Midwest Flooding Continues
(Undated) — Severe storms packing damaging winds and tornadoes are bearing down on the South and the Midwest, while major flooding continues across the Plains. A tornado watch is out for eastern Arkansas, northwest Mississippi, western Tennessee, and far southeastern Missouri. Severe thunderstorms could hit northeast Texas, northwest Louisiana, and southwest Arkansas. Thunderstorms overnight already have damaged buildings, trees, and vehicles in Kilgore, Texas. The risk of severe thunderstorms stretches from Mississippi and Alabama up to the southern Great Lakes. In Nebraska, flash flood emergencies and evacuations are out for three small towns west of Omaha.
