Federal Grand Jury Indicts Man Accused Of Killing Northern Illinois Deputy

(Rockford, IL) — The suspect in the murder of a northern Illinois deputy is facing federal charges. A grand jury yesterday indicted 39-year-old Floyd Brown for this month’s shootout that killed McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Keltner. He’s already facing state charges. Illinois does not have the death penalty, but the federal indictment could put Brown on death row if he’s convicted.
