Updated: According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Route 36 is open again. No additional information regarding the crash has been release by the Illinois State Police, yet.
Wednesday, March 20, 9:30am: Authorities are on the scene of a deadly crash in Douglas County. Officials say it was a head-on collision between a van and a tractor-trailer around 6:30am. Route 36 between Camargo and Murdock is currently blocked off. The driver of the van was killed in the crash. We will provide updates as soon as they become available.
