Richland Auto Accident Results in Fatality

A Richland County man was killed in a two-vehicle accident yesterday morning.  According to the Illinois State Police, 57-year old Kevin Van Blaricum was traveling eastbound on Route 50 near Odin when he crossed into the westbound lane and struck a tractor-trailer driven by Sam Simmons of Olney.  Van Blaricum was pronounced dead at the scene.  Simmons was uninjured.  The investigation into the cause of the accident continues.
