Officials Point To Scott’s Law After Several Trooper Related Crashes
(Peoria, IL) — Officials are pointing to Scott’s Law after a series of trooper-related crashes. Also known as the move over law, the measure is credited with addressing deadly consequences for one of the most preventable traffic offenses. Illinois State Police have experienced 14 instances this year where people have failed to obey the law and struck patrol vehicles. Authorities say distraction has played a big role in these crashes.
