Former Columbine Principal Gives Leadership Lessons
(East Peoria, IL) — The former principal of Columbine High School is sharing leadership lessons. Frank DeAngelis led the school at the time of the mass shooting in April 1999. He shared his experiences with the community at Illinois Central College yesterday. DeAngelis told the crowd that he doesn’t think teachers should carry guns and that the approach to mass shootings has changed since twelve students and a teacher were shot to death by two other students who also died. The talk was sponsored by AAIM Employer’s Association.
