A Dieterich substitute teacher has been dismissed for what the district calls an “inappropriate conversation” with a student. Officials say they took immediate action after hearing of the incident. The substitute teacher was removed from the assignment, dismissed for the day, and their services will not be utilized in the future. The district says that they take the safety and well-being of each and every student very seriously and that extensive background checks are performed on every employee, including substitute teachers.
